Remembering Oscar Grant

2019 marked the 10th anniversary of the shooting of #OscarGrant (who was unarmed and handcuffed) by BART police officers at the Fruitvale #BART station in #Oakland on New Years Day 2009.

This gallery is a small sample of the photos we took while participating in the numerous political events protesting the shooting of Mr. Grant.

These photos don’t even come close to explaining the numerous events that were transpiring around this shooting at the time.

You will notice that some of the photos aren’t of the protests, but instead show that even though protestors were making their voices known, life in the city of Oakland still continued.
