A few photos from our random photo adventure around the famous gourmet ghetto of #Berkeley #California and the world famous Lake Merritt and Jack London Square districts of #Oakland #California. What started out as a simple trip to our new favorite cafe (#Cafenated) in Berkeley California, quickly turned into a 12 hour photo adventure featuring the people of Lake Merritt, fun at the Oakland Museum, visiting bars in the Jack London area, a late night pie run, and running to t
Photos from our recent Saturday afternoon/evening photos adventure in #SanFrancisco #California. Covering over 10 miles, we walked from downtown San Francisco to the Potrero Hill waterfront, to the new (and hated) arena for the Golden State Warriors, passing by Oracle (formerly Pac Bell) Park and the new Muni project to the CalTrain Station. During the walk, we took numerous photos of various items of interest that caught our eye. The most striking being the face we never kne
Photos from our recent hiking photo adventure at the #Presidio National Recreational Area in #SanFrancisco #California. With a rare fog free day, we invaded the Presidio to look for migrating butterflies, whales, and blooming #wildflowers. Sadly, after hiking over 7 miles, we didn't see any butterflies or whales, but did manage to locate a few blooming wildflowers in the park. Either way, the Presidio has plenty of over unique photo spots to keep you busy for hours and is one
Our photos from the last weekend of #Winter 2018-2019 in the city of #SanFrancisco #California. It was a fun filled weekend featuring the craziness of St Patricks Day Weekend, Hiking Lands End, and taking photos of various San Francisco neighborhoods on the last weekend of Winter 2018-2019. Two water rescues. Lots of wildflowers. Plenty of drunk White people. We even got a picture of a close-call midair collision over the Golden Gate Bridge. However, not one single butterfly
Photos from our Sunday night dinner adventure at the world famous Casa Orinda restaurant in #Orinda #California. Known for its world famous fried chicken, Casa Orinda is an old school eatery located in Orinda, California. Due to its popularity, we would highly recommend dinner reservations if you decide to visit the place. As usual, we ordered half the menu and would recommend Casa Orinda for anyone looking for a good date place. Credit: Oakland Photo Vault 2019
Photos from the 2nd Annual Black Joy Parade and Festival in #Oakland #California. Started in 2018, the #BlackJoyParade was started as a way for all members of the African Diaspora to celebrate their unique culture. Just as in 2018, the 2019 event was well attended with numerous community groups taking part in the parade and festival afterwards. To top things off, festival goers were treated to a free musical show by T-Pain, who didn't disappoint as he rocked the crowd until t
Photos from the annual Chinese New Years Parade in #SanFrancisco #California. Celebrating the "Year of the Pig," once again the largest parade in California dazzled families as hundreds of parade participants entertained the crowd for hours. Started in 1958, the Chinese New Years Parade may be one of the longest running public events in Bay Area history. We think on Bay To Breakers may have a longer lifespan. The San Francisco Chinese Chamber of Commerce says the 2020 parade
Photos of the second of three #Supermoons to grace the skies over the #Oakland #SanFrancisco Bay Area. Rising above Mission Peak (you can see hikers in some of the photos) in #Fremont #California, the #Snowmoon was quite a sight before it was obscured by clouds from an incoming storm. Out of the three Supermoons to rise this year, the Snow Moon is considered the biggest and brightest of the trio. The next Supermoon will rise over the Bay Area on March 21st. Credit: Oakland Ph
A few photos from the aftermath of a Alaskan cold front dumping “snow” on Mission Peak in #Fremont and Mount Diablo in #Concord #California. We say “snow” because it was more than a “dusting,” but a lot less than an actual snow event. However, although seeing #snow of Mt. Diablo is not that rare, seeing Mission Peak covered in the white powder was super rare for #SanFrancisco #Oakland #SanJose residents. Credit: Oakland Photo Vault 2019
After a long history of football excellence, the #Raidernation celebrated what will most likely be the last #Oakland #Raiders football game in #Oakland #California. For various reasons, too numerous to list here, the Oakland Raiders will be moving to another city in the near future, and the city of Oakland (not too happy about it) filed a lawsuit to recover millions in damages from the team before they move. With the lawsuit filed, the team immediately announced they would no
Pictures from the 2018 #Christmas tree lighting ceremony at #JackLondonSquare in #Oakland, #California. Featuring Golden State Warrior legend Baron David, Stomper, the Kev Choice Ensemble (with Jennifer Johns and Martin Luther), it was a fun evening for families on a chilly, but dry Friday night in Oakland. Who knew it would turn into a "Anti-Gentrification" concert once all the politicians left? :) Be sure to checkout our video of the fun on our You Tube channel, too. Credit
A few of our photos of the #California Highway Patrol (#CHP) (aka: Bears) patrolling the California freeways over the #Thanksgiving holiday. Did they catch you? Lol Credit: #Oakland Photo Vault 2018
#Concord Does #Tacos And More… On a rare cool Summer August Saturday, the city of Concord held its annual Taco Fest in the world famous Todos De Santos Plaza in downtown Concord, #California.
